You must complete the 116 test (Part 1 and Part 2) before doing any Emergency Services Training. This also technically means that you can not begin working on any SQTR tasks until you have completed this test. You must have this completed before attending a SAREX. The full test is 50 questions. Expect it to take you about 2 hours to complete.

Here is a link to the ES online tests webpage:
https://tests.cap.af.mil/ops/tests/default.cfm?grp=dos

This page may give you errors. If you have the latest version of Internet Explorer you should be able to select "Continue to this website (not recommended). "

The page will then show you a drop down menu with the 116 and other ES tests. If you have time (2 hours) take the 50 question Part 1 and Part 2 test. If you have less time (minimum 1 hour) take Part 1 and then Part 2 later.

When you launch the 116 test it will indicate at the top of the test which documents are needed to prepare you for the test. Most people open those documents and take this test like an open book exam, which is fine.

Once you complete the 116, you should strongly consider taking the 117 tests as you will need them later.

Please let the staff know if you have any questions.
